The OSG Foundation is a nonprofit organization rooted in the belief that sport is a powerful catalyst for change—for individuals, communities, and nations. Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s vision, we are committed to transforming lives through sport by supporting the development of underprivileged children and advancing women in sport across South Africa.

We proudly believe that South Africa is one of the greatest sporting nations in the world. Our athletes have achieved remarkable feats on the global stage—but only around 30% of our children have access to the quality coaching and development opportunities needed to reach the highest levels.

The OSG Foundation exists to change that.

By funding grassroots programs, supporting young talent, and championing women in sport, we aim to build a more inclusive, empowered, and successful future for South African sport—one where every child, regardless of background, and every woman, regardless of status, has a fair shot at greatness.

1. Vision

To unlock the full potential of South Africa’s sporting talent by ensuring that every child and every woman has the opportunity, support, and platform to develop, grow & thrive.

2. Core Pillars

A. Youth Sport Development (Underprivileged Children)
   •    Fund local academies, schools, and sport development programs.
   •    Provide essential resources: coaching, equipment, nutrition, and transport.
   •    Develop infrastructure in underserved communities.
   •    Offer scholarships and mentorship for high-potential youth athletes.
   •    Increase the 30% access rate by driving coaching and development into rural and township areas.

B. Women’s Sport Empowerment
   •    Fund female teams, leagues, and grassroots initiatives.
   •    Fund development pipelines for girls in sport.
   •    Sponsor campaigns highlighting South African women athletes.
   •    Offer grants and leadership support for women in coaching, officiating, and sport management.

3. Key Initiatives 
   •    OSG Sport Access Fund: Annual grant program for community organizations and schools.
   •    Next Gen Champions Program: Identify and mentor promising youth talent.
   •    ShePlays Initiative: Dedicated platform and funding stream for women’s sport projects.
   •    Coaches for Change: Train and deploy skilled coaches into under-resourced areas.
   •    Impact Scorecard: Track and publish metrics on access, performance, and inclusion.

4. Funding Strategy
   •    10% percentage of all sales and income earned by OSG will be allocated to the Foundation.

   •    Corporate Partnerships – Align with brands that champion sport and social impact.
   •    Private Donors & Philanthropists – Cultivate long-term giving relationships.
